Queen + Adam Lambert Concertography

This page features a brief overview of Queen and Adam Lambert performances from 2009 onwards. The tracks given for each tour reflect the standard setlist, but the actual songs performed varied from night to night.

In the setlists below, any initials in brackets refer to the lead vocalist for the track, namely Adam Lambert (AL), Brian May (BM), Roger Taylor (RT) or Freddie Mercury (FM). Freddie's vocals were played via videoscreen.

Other shows by Queen during this period without Adam Lambert are detailed on the 2007-2020 Queen Concertography page. For a more comprehensive list, with exact setlists and details of live recordings, please see the Queen Concerts website.

Unless otherwise stated, the band consisted of Adam Lambert, Brian May, Roger Taylor, Spike Edney on keyboards and Neil Fairclough on bass. From 2012 to 2016, it also featured Roger's son Rufus on percussion, and drums when Roger was singing. From 2017 onwards, he was replaced by Tyler Warren.

Brian and Roger appeared at the finale of the American Idol TV series to perform 'We Are The Champions' with the two finalists.
1. 20 May 2009 - Nokia Theatre, Los Angeles, USA

2011 MTV European Music Awards

The Show Must Go On, Under Pressure, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions

Brian and Roger appeared to collect the Global Icon Award, then performed four songs with Brian on guitar, Roger on drums, Adam Lambert on vocals, and an unknown band.
1. 6 November 2011 - MTV European Music Awards, Odyssey Arena, Belfast, Northern Ireland

2012 UK and European Tour

Flash's Theme (tape), The Hero (instrumental ending), Seven Seas Of Rhye, Keep Yourself Alive, We Will Rock You (fast), Fat Bottomed Girls, Don't Stop Me Now, Under Pressure (Adam + Roger), I Want It All, Who Wants To Live Forever, A Kind Of Magic (Roger), These Are The Days Of Our Lives (Roger), Love Of My Life (Brian with some vocals from Freddie at Budapest, 1986), '39 (Brian), Dragon Attack / Bass Solo, Drum Solo (duet between Roger and Rufus), Last Horizon, Guitar Solo, I Want To Break Free, Another One Bites The Dust, Radio Ga Ga, Somebody To Love, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, The Show Must Go On, Bohemian Rhapsody (Freddie + Adam)
Encore: Tie Your Mother Down (Brian), We Will Rock You (slow), We Are The Champions, God Save The Queen (tape, London shows only)

The above setlist was the most common, although 'Somebody To Love' and 'The Show Must Go On' moved to different positions for a few shows. The two shows in Moscow and Kiev dropped 'Last Horizon', while the Moscow show added 'Life Is Real' before 'Love Of My Life', with guests Zemfira on vocals and Dmitry Shurov on piano, and the Kiev show featured Victor Romanchenko on vocals alongside Adam for 'We Will Rock You'. The three Hammersmith shows each featured Brian performing a different song on acoustic guitar before 'Love Of My Life', namely 'The Show Must Go On', 'Somebody To Love', and 'You're My Best Friend'. 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and the final verse of 'Love Of My Life' featured Freddie's vocals from Budapest, 1986, via videoscreen.

This setlist featured a number of surprises, most notably the 'Flash', 'Seven Seas Of Rhye', 'Keep Yourself Alive' and 'We Will Rock You' opening tracks, 'Don't Stop Me Now', 'Who Wants To Live Forever' and 'Somebody To Love', all of which had hardly been performed in 25 years. Queen and Adam Lambert were originally planned to perform at the Sonisphere Festival, which was subsequently cancelled, and as a result the Moscow show was moved from 30 June to 3 July.
1. 30 June 2012 - Maidan Nezalezhnosti, Kiev, Ukraine
This was a free show, with a show by Elton John the same night, to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS across Ukraine and Poland. It was held on the eve of the European Championship final and was supported by Uefa. The show was broadcast live on television and online.
2. 3 July 2012 - Olimpiyskiy Sports Complex, Moscow, Russia
This show was originally planned for 30 June 2012.
3. 7 July 2012 - Stadion Miejski, Wroclaw, Poland
4. 11 July 2012 - Hammersmith Apollo, London, England
5. 12 July 2012 - Hammersmith Apollo, London, England
6. 14 July 2012 - Hammersmith Apollo, London, England

2013 iHeartRadio Music Festival

Bohemian Rhapsody (start), Another One Bites The Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Who Wants To Live Forever, Somebody To Love (with Fun, Nate Ruess on vocals), Fat Bottomed Girls (with Fun, Nate Ruess and Adam Lambert on vocals), Dragon Attack, Bohemian Rhapsody (reprise), We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions

Brian and Roger appeared with Adam Lambert at this music festival, with their 30 minute set beginning at 11:58pm (making the majority of the set on the 21st September). The show was broadcast live on radio stations across the USA, and online, while a TV highlights show was broadcast in the USA on 30 September and 1 October. The show featured indie band Fun on two tracks, and also presumably featured Spike Edney on keyboards.

2014 iHeartRadio Music Festival

We Will Rock You, Another One Bites The Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Love Kills, Fat Bottomed Girls, Under Pressure, We Are The Champions, Don't Stop Me Now

This show was to promote the North American tour, and was broadcast live on radio stations across the USA, and online.
1. 16 June 2014 - iHeartRadio Music Festival, MGM Grand, Las Vegas, USA

2014 North American Tour

Procession (tape), Now I'm Here, Stone Cold Crazy, Another One Bites The Dust, Fat Bottomed Girls, In The Lap Of The Gods.... Revisited, Seven Seas Of Rhye, Killer Queen, Somebody To Love, I Want It All, Love Of My Life (Brian), '39 (Brian), These Are The Days Of Our Lives (Roger), Bass Solo, Drum Battle, Under Pressure (Roger and Adam), Love Kills, Who Wants To Live Forever, Guitar Solo, Last Horizon, Tie Your Mother Down, Radio Ga Ga, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, The Show Must Go On, Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, God Save The Queen

There were only a few setlist changes during the tour; 'Don't Stop Me Now' was performed after 'Radio Ga Ga' at most of the shows in June, while 'Dragon Attack' replaced 'Love Kills' at the last two shows, and 'The Show Must Go On' was dropped from a few shows late in the tour, for time reasons.

Neil Fairclough's bass solo included the basslines from 'Don't Try Suicide' and 'Body Language', while the Drum Battle featured Roger and Rufus drumming in turns, and seemed to have elements of Sandy Nelson's 'Let There Be Drums' (which Roger performed on the 2005/6 Queen+Paul Rodgers tours) and Cozy Powell's 'Dance With The Devil'.

2014 Asian and Australasian Tour

Procession (tape), Now I'm Here, Stone Cold Crazy, Another One Bites The Dust, Fat Bottomed Girls, In The Lap Of The Gods.... Revisited, Seven Seas Of Rhye, Killer Queen, Somebody To Love, I Want It All, Love Of My Life (Brian), '39 (Brian), A Kind Of Magic (Roger), Bass Solo, Drum Battle, Under Pressure (Adam and Roger), Dragon Attack, Who Wants To Live Forever, Guitar Solo, Last Horizon, Tie Your Mother Down, Vocal Solo, I Want To Break Free, Radio Ga Ga, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, God Save The Queen (tape)

Compared to the North American tour, the setlist was very similar, the main changes were that 'Love Kills' was replaced by 'Dragon Attack', 'I Want To Break Free' was added, 'The Show Must Go On' was dropped, and 'A Kind Of Magic' replaced 'These Are The Days Of Our Lives' at the majority of shows. Additionally, 'Teo Torriatte' was added for the two Japanese shows (performed by Brian before 'Love Of My Life'), 'I Was Born To Love You' was added for the South Korean and Japanese shows (after 'Dragon Attack' in South Korea, and 'Radio Ga Ga' in Japan), 'The Show Must Go On' was added in Melbourne on 30 August (before 'Bohemian Rhapsody'), 'Waltzing Matilda' was added in Brisbane (performed by Brian before 'Love Of My Life'), and 'Don't Dream It's Over' was added at the second New Zealand show (again, performed by Brian as part of his acoustic set).

2. 16 August 2014 - Maishima Sports Island, Osaka, Japan
3. 17 August 2014 - QVC Marine Field, Chiba, Tokyo, Japan
These three shows were part of the 'Super Sonic' festival, and the two shows in Japan featured a reduced setlist, which dropped '39', 'Dragon Attack', 'Last Horizon', 'Tie Your Mother Down', 'I Want To Break Free' and the bass, drum, guitar and vocal solos. They also featured 'These Are The Days Of Our Lives' (vocals by Roger) in place of 'A Kind Of Magic', and added 'Teo Torriatte' and 'I Was Born To Love You' (as noted above). Additionally, the first Japanese show dropped 'In The Lap Of The Gods... Revisited' and 'I Want It All', while the second lost 'Somebody To Love' and 'Who Wants To Live Forever'. The show on the 17th was recorded, with four tracks shown on Japanese TV, and the whole concert was released in Japan only on DVD and Blu-ray as 'Live In Japan' in December 2016.

2015 UK and European Tour

One Vision, Stone Cold Crazy, Another One Bites The Dust, Fat Bottomed Girls, In The Lap Of The Gods.... Revisited, Seven Seas Of Rhye, Killer Queen, Somebody To Love, I Want To Break Free, Love Of My Life (Brian), '39 (Brian), A Kind Of Magic (Roger), Bass Solo, Drum Battle, Under Pressure (Adam and Roger), Save Me, Who Wants To Live Forever, Guitar Solo, Last Horizon, Tie Your Mother Down, Vocal Solo, I Want It All, Radio Ga Ga, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, God Save The Queen (tape)

The above setlist was the most common but there were changes, with a few tracks occasionally dropped or moved within the setlist. It is essentially the same setlist as the 2014 tour, with 'Procession' and 'Now I'm Here' replaced by 'One Vision', 'Dragon Attack' replaced by 'Save Me', and 'I Want It All' and 'I Want To Break Free' swapping positions. Seven shows featured both 'These Are The Days Of Our Lives' and 'A Kind Of Magic', while seven shows featured just 'These Are The Days Of Our Lives' and eleven shows featured just 'A Kind Of Magic'. 'Don't Stop Me Now' was performed before 'Somebody To Love' at all UK shows with the exception of London (17 January), 'The Show Must Go On' was performed five times (after 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love'), and 'Dragon Attack' was performed twice (after 'Tie Your Mother Down', in Wembley and Krakow). Brian played 'The Blue Danube Waltz' as part of his guitar solo in Vienna, and acoustic versions of 'Maybe It's Because I'm A Londoner', 'Plaisir d'Amour', 'I (Who Have Nothing)' and 'You've Got To Hide Your Love Away' before 'Love Of My Life' at the shows in London (17th and 18th January), Paris, Milan and Liverpool respectively. 'We Will Rock You' in Glasgow featured a bagpipe introduction, and footage of Freddie was shown via videoscreen during both 'Love Of My Life' and 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. During the tour, Adam suffered from severe bronchitis, which led to the show in Belgium being cancelled, and a few tracks being dropped at neighbouring shows.

2015 South American Tour

One Vision, Another One Bites The Dust, Fat Bottomed Girls, In The Lap Of The Gods.... Revisited, Seven Seas Of Rhye, Killer Queen, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Somebody To Love, Love Of My Life (Brian), '39 (Brian), These Are The Days Of Our Lives (Roger), Bass Solo, Drum Battle, Under Pressure (Adam and Roger), I Want To Break Free, Ghost Town, Who Wants To Live Forever, Guitar Solo, Last Horizon, Tie Your Mother Down, Don't Stop Me Now, I Want It All, Radio Ga Ga, Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions

This short tour featured a slightly restructured setlist compared to the European tour, and varied more each night. The most notable change was the addition of 'Ghost Town', an Adam Lambert solo track. After 'Love Of My Life', the band played '39' (Brian, twice), 'Las Palabras De Amor' (Brian, twice), or neither (twice), followed by either 'These Are The Days Of Our Lives' (Roger, four times) or 'A Kind Of Magic' (Roger, twice). The shows in Rio De Janeiro and Sao Paulo had a number of changes: 'Stone Cold Crazy' was added after 'One Vision', 'Don't Stop Me Now' and 'I Want To Break Free' were moved earlier in the set, before 'Somebody To Love', while 'Save Me' was performed before 'Ghost Town', the 'The Show Must Go On' was added, and 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' was moved to after 'Radio Ga Ga'. Finally, at the show in Porto Alegre, 'Bohemian Rhapsody' was moved to earlier in the set, before 'I Want It All'.

2016 European Festival Tour

One Vision, Hammer To Fall, Seven Seas Of Rhye, Stone Cold Crazy, Another One Bites The Dust, Fat Bottomed Girls, Play The Game, Killer Queen, Don't Stop Me Now, Somebody To Love, Love Of My Life (Brian), A Kind Of Magic (Roger), Drum Battle, Under Pressure (Adam and Roger), Crazy Little Thing Called Love, I Want To Break Free, I Want It All, Who Wants To Live Forever, Last Horizon, Guitar Solo, Tie Your Mother Down, Bohemian Rhapsody, Radio Ga Ga, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, God Save The Queen

This wasn't a proper tour as such, but a number of appearances at music festivals across Europe. The setlist had a similar structure to the South American tour, but dropped 'In The Lap Of The Gods... Revisited', '39' and 'Ghost Town', replacing them with 'Hammer To Fall', 'Stone Cold Crazy', 'Play The Game' and 'A Kind Of Magic'. The shows in Lisbon and Barcelona opened with 'Flash' and 'The Hero' in place of 'One Vision', while the final three shows featured all three tracks. Lisbon and Barcelona also added 'The Show Must Go On' after 'Tie Your Mother Down', while the first four shows had a slightly rearranged setlist, with 'Another One Bites The Dust' before 'I Want It All', and 'I Want To Break Free' and 'Don't Stop Me Now' swapping positions. The first six shows featured 'These Are The Days Of Our Lives' (with Roger on vocals) instead of 'A Kind Of Magic', and finally, 'Who Wants To Live Forever' was not performed in Finland, Estonia or Sweden, for unknown reasons.
1. 20 May 2016 - Rock In Rio Lisboa, Lisbon, Portugal

Again, this was a number of appearances at festivals, rather than a proper tour. The setlist was similar to the European tour, but was slightly rearranged, dropping 'One Vision' and 'Play The Game', and adding 'The Show Must Go On'. Other tracks occassionally performed were 'Teo Torriatte' and 'I Was Born To Love You' (at all three Tokyo shows, after 'Love Of My Life' and 'I Want To Break Free' respectively), 'These Are The Days Of Our Lives' (Roger vocals) (instead of 'A Kind Of Magic', in Tel Aviv, Taipei, and the first and last Tokyo shows), 'Keep Yourself Alive' (after 'Seven Seas Of Rhye' in Tel Aviv) and finally 'Dragon Attack' (after 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love', also in Tel Aviv).

2017 Miscellaneous Shows

Show 1: We Will Rock You (Adam Lambert vocals), Don't Stop Me Now (James Corden vocals), Crazy Little Thing Called Love (James Corden vocals), Another One Bites The Dust (Adam Lambert vocals), Somebody To Love (Adam Lambert and James Corden vocals)
Show 2: I Want It All, Don't Stop Me Now, Two Fux, Crazy Little Thing Called Love

The first appearance was on 'The Late Late Show' TV show, where Queen performed shortened versions of five tracks, with vocals by Adam Lambert and host James Corden, competing to see who would be the better frontman. It features Brian, Roger, Adam Lambert and James Corden, and The Late Late Show's house band.
The second appearance was on the 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' TV show, and featured full performances of three Queen tracks, and a new Adam Lambert solo track, 'Two Fux'.
Both appearances were to promote the North American tour.

2. 22 June 2017 - 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' TV Show, El Capitan Theatre, Los Angeles, USA

2017 North American Tour

We Will Rock You (slow version), Hammer To Fall, Stone Cold Crazy, Another One Bites The Dust, Fat Bottomed Girls, Killer Queen, Two Fux, Don't Stop Me Now, Bicycle Race, I'm In Love With My Car (Roger vocals), Get Down Make Love, I Want It All, Love Of My Life (Brian and Freddie vocals), Somebody To Love, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Drum Battle, Under Pressure (Roger and Adam vocals), I Want To Break Free, You Take My Breath Away (album version excerpt), Who Wants To Live Forever, Guitar Solo and Last Horizon, Freddie Singalong, Radio Ga Ga, Bohemian Rhapsody (Adam and Freddie vocals), We Will Rock You (slow version), We Are The Champions, God Save The Queen

Compared to the previous tour, the setlist dropped 'Seven Seas Of Rhye', 'A Kind Of Magic', 'The Show Must Go On', and most surprisingly 'Tie Your Mother Down', which was only performed once, on the last show of the tour. Instead, the setlist added 'Bicycle Race', 'I'm In Love With My Car', 'Get Down, Make Love', a new Adam Lambert solo track, 'Two Fux', and the shows started with a shortened slow version of 'We Will Rock You'. It also added Freddie's Singalong from Wembley 1986, and an excerpt from the start of the album version of 'You Take My Breath Away', as an introduction to 'Who Wants To Live Forever'. 'Love Of My Life' was sung by Brian, with Freddie's vocals from Wembley 1986 for the last verse.

The setlist only featured a few variations from above. All shows upto July 8th featured 'It's Late' (mostly instead of 'I Want To Break Free') and added 'Spread Your Wings' (mostly before the second version of 'We Will Rock You'), while at the shows in Toronto and Newark, Adam and the audience sang 'Happy Birthday' to Brian and Roger respectively.
