       This show replaced one planned for Highbury in London, the home of Arsenal FC, and was recorded by The Tube and broadcast on Channel 4 in January 1983. The whole show was fully released on both CD and DVD in 2004 as 'Queen On Fire - Live At The Bowl'. 'Staying Power' appears on 'Greatest Video Hits II', an edit of 'Play The Game' appears on 'The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert', and two edits of 'Somebody To Love' appear on 'Rare Live' and 'The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert'. The full version of 'Somebody To Love' was also available to stream online as part of the 'Absolute Greatest' release and as audio on the 'A Day At The Races' 2011 double disc reissue. A number of other tracks were released as part of the 2011 reissues, namely Staying Power, Dragon Attack and Now I'm Here (reprise) as audio tracks on the double disc versions, and Action This Day, Love Of My Life, Fat Bottomed Girls, and Tie Your Mother Down as videos on the iTunes LP's. Finally, 'We Will Rock You (slow version)' and 'We Are The Champions' were included in the 2017 'News Of The World' 40th anniversary boxed set.

      The concert was released as an edited video titled 'Live In Japan', with 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' later released on 'Rare Live', and 'Save Me' on 'The Game' 2011 iTunes LP. The 'Queen On Fire - Live At The Bowl' DVD also includes highlights of the concert, including the then unreleased 'Calling All Girls'. 'We Will Rock You (fast version)', 'Action This Day', Freddie's Singalong and 'Calling All Girls' were later released as bonus tracks on the 2011 double disc reissues of 'News Of The World' and 'Hot Space', while 'Love Of My Life' and 'We Will Rock You' were both included on the Japanese release of the 'Days Of Our Lives' documentary. 'We Will Rock You (fast version)' was also included in the 2017 'News Of The World' 40th anniversary boxed set, and finally 'Teo Torriatte (Let Us Cling Together)' was released on the 'Greatest Hits In Japan' bonus DVD.

The dates below come from the Queen Concerts site which is far more accurate than mine. It notes that Freddie lost his voice during 'Under Pressure' on 7th October, and so the concert was cancelled mid-show. The concerts on the 9th and 12th were also cancelled, but the show on the 10th did go ahead. The tour featured Spike Edney on keyboards, synths and guitars.

Queen went on stage at around 2:00am each morning, and performed to between 250,000 and 300,000 people. The shows featured Spike Edney on keyboards, synths and guitars, and technically were held on the 11th and 18th, but Queen's performances were on the 12th and 19th. The two shows were later compiled together to make a heavily edited video release, which was reissued on DVD in 2013 exclusive to a North American boxed set. Excerpts of 'Tie Your Mother Down' (from the first show) appear on the 'Rare Live' video, while the 2011 double-disc reissue of 'The Works' includes both 'It's A Hard Life' and 'Is This The World We Created?', and the iTunes LP adds a bonus video of 'I Want To Break Free'. Footage from the shows was also used for the promo videos for 'Seven Seas Of Rhye' on the 'Queen Rocks' video, and 'Love Of My Life' on the 'A Night At The Opera' 30th Anniversary DVD. The improvisation on the 19th, titled 'Rock In Rio Blues' for these concerts, later appeared on the 'Made In Heaven' 2011 double-disc reissue, the 'A Winter's Tale' UK CD single and on the 'Too Much Love Will Kill You' single in the USA. Finally, 'Tie Your Mother Down' and 'Love Of My Life' were available to stream online as part of the 'Absolute Greatest' release.

The concert was simultaneously broadcast live on radio and TV in over 160 countries to more than one and a half billion people. It is undoubtedly Queen's most famous appearance, and has been voted as the best performance of all time. Queen started their set at 6.44pm, between Dire Straits and David Bowie, with Brian and Freddie returning to the stage at 9.48pm, between Wham and Paul McCartney. All tracks are available in the 4 DVD boxed set of the concert, while all tracks (minus the finale), plus some rehearsal footage, were also released on the 'Queen Rock Montreal & Live Aid' DVD, as well as on the We Will Love You bootleg, released as part of the 'Top 100 Bootlegs' project. The 'Rare Live' video also included 'We Will Rock You' and an edit of Freddie's Singalong. Queen + Adam Lambert later performed the same setlist at the Fire Fight Australia concert in Sydney in 2020.

Queen mimed four songs at this festival, which was broadcast extensively worldwide, although Freddie's Singalong was live. The entire set was later released on the 'Greatest Video Hits II' DVD.

Other tracks occasionally performed included 'Gimme Some Lovin', 'Big Spender', 'Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting', 'Immigrant Song' (in Berlin only), 'Tavaszi Szel Vizet Araszt' (in Budapest only) and the intro to 'Mustapha'. The tour featured Spike Edney on keyboards, synths and guitars. The 'Live At Wembley Stadium' 2003 and 2011 DVD's feature footage of rehearsals for the tour, recorded in London, presumably in April/May 1986, of Tie Your Mother Down, Seven Seas Of Rhye, Tear It Up, A Kind Of Magic, Now I'm Here, I Want To Break Free, Piano Introduction and Bohemian Rhapsody.

  These two shows are notable because the band played a full length version of 'Friends Will Be Friends', still between 'We Will Rock You' and 'We Are The Champions'. At all other shows, they played a shortened version.

       The whole concert was released as a bonus disc on the 'Live At Wembley Stadium' 2011 reissue, while 'Is This The World We Created?' was released on 'Live Magic', and 'A Kind Of Magic', 'Another One Bites The Dust' and 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' all appear as bonus tracks on the US 2003 'Live At Wembley Stadium' CD. The 2003 DVD includes those three tracks, plus 'Freddie Singalong', 'Tutti Frutti', the finale of 'We Are The Champions' and 'God Save The Queen'. Finally, 'One Vision' was released as a bonus track on the 2011 'A Kind Of Magic' double disc reissue, while 'Tear It Up' and 'A Kind Of Magic' were added to 'The Works' and 'A Kind Of Magic' iTunes LP's as bonus videos.

       The whole concert was released as the 'Live At Wembley 1986' album in 1992, 'Live At Wembley Stadium' DVD in 2003 and 2011, and the edited 'Live At Wembley' video in 1990. 'Hammer To Fall' was also released on both the 'Live Magic' album and 'Rare Live' video, 'One Vision', 'In The Lap Of The Gods.... Revisited' and 'We Are The Champions' were all available to stream online as part of the 'Absolute Greatest' release, and footage of 'Under Pressure' was later incorporated into the 1999 video for the Rah Remix. 'In The Lap Of The Gods.... Revisited' was included as a bonus track on the 'Sheer Heart Attack' 2011 double disc reissue, while 'Seven Seas Of Rhye' was added as a bonus video to the 'Queen II' iTunes LP. An aftershow party was held at the Kensington Roof Garden, London, billed as Dicky Hart & The Pacemakers, and featured Gary Glitter and Sam Fox. The show was simultaneously broadcast on Channel 4 and independant radio stations on 25 October 1986, titled 'Real Magic', and repeated again on Channel 4 in January 1987.

'Under Pressure' and parts of 'A Kind Of Magic' appear on 'Live Magic', 'Tavaszi Szel Vizet Araszt' appears on the 2003 US CD 'Live At Wembley Stadium', and 'We Will Rock You' was available to stream online as part of the 'Absolute Greatest' release. Excerpts also appear on the 'Rare Live' video. Footage of Freddie performing 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and singing the final verse of 'Love Of My Life' was later used at Queen + Adam Lambert shows in 2012.

       This show was added later after promoter Harvey Goldsmith realised how quickly the tickets had sold out for the UK leg. Eleven of the songs from the concert were later released on the 'Live Magic' album, Freddie's Singalong and 'Under Pressure' appear together as the 'Knebworth Mix' on the 1999 Rah Remix single, and parts of 'Radio Ga Ga' and 'We Are The Champions' appear on the 'Rare Live' video.
