Brian May Concertography 1983-1999

This page is an overview of Brian's live career from 1983 to 1999. The tracks given for each tour reflect the standard setlist, but the actual songs performed varied from night to night.

The list includes almost every show, apart from TV appearances where he only appeared to perform (or mime) a single track, and other artists' shows where he performed on a couple of the artists' own tracks (the shows are included if he performed any tracks by Queen, or his own solo tracks). For a more comprehensive list, with exact setlists and details of live recordings, please see the Queen Concerts website.

Two live-only tracks are mentioned on this page, namely 'God (The Dream Is Over)' and 'C'mon Baby'. Full details of both tracks can be found on the Live-Only Songs page.

1989 Jerry Lee Lewis Concert

High School Confidential, Rockin' My Life Away, Johnny B. Goode, Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On, Great Balls Of Fire, Good Golly Miss Molly / Tutti Frutti, High Heel Sneakers, Wild One

This show was released on a video titled 'The Killer Live' and later the 'Jerry Lee Lewis & Friends' DVD. During the opening track 'High School Confidential', Brian accidentally unplugged his guitar, so the band reprised the track so that he could play his solo. Most of the tracks with Brian also feature Dave Davies, Dave Edmunds, John Lodge, Stuart Adamson and Phil Chen.

The track listing above appears to be correct - some sources suggest Brian played on 'Mexicali Rose', but footage on Youtube shows he is not on stage for the track, but is on 'High Heel Sneakers'. The DVD, and probably VHS, omit 'High Heel Sneakers', and replace it with 'Mexicali Rose', which is probably the source of the confusion. Full details of the tracks can be found on the Brian May Collaborations 1989-1992 page.

At least five tracks were later released on the 'Guitar Gods - Volume 1' album, released in the USA in 2011, however the album is discontinued, and I cannot find which tracks are included.
