Reaching Out
Disc 1, Track 1. Track length 1:08, song length 1:01.
Lead vocals by Paul Rodgers. This track segues into 'Tie Your Mother Down'.
Details of the original version can be found on the 'Brian May Collaborations (1993-2003)' page. During the 2005 tour, one of the warm-up tracks was 'Lose Yourself' by Eminem. He later included a sample of 'Reaching Out' on his track 'Beautiful', which was released on the 'Relapse' album in May 2009, later reissued as 'Relapse: Refill' in December 2009, with a bonus disc of extra tracks. It was also released as a single in August 2009, reaching no 12 in the UK.
Most versions of the album feature explicit lyrics, but some versions of the US album, and all alternate versions, feature clean lyrics. The download EP also includes an instrumental version, but this does not feature the sample.
The song includes Paul Rodger's speeded up vocals only, at the start of the track and towards the end. The only changes are the omission of the words 'wow' and 'like', but otherwise both samples in the song feature the complete lyrics. 1. Album Version (explicit lyrics) (6:32) (available on most versions of the 'Relapse' and 'Relapse: Refill' albums, and all formats of the single)
2. Album Version (clean lyrics) (6:32) (available on some US versions of the 'Relapse' and 'Relapse: Refill' albums)
3. Radio Edit (clean lyrics) (4:00) (available on the download EP only)
4. Video Version (clean lyrics) (4:21) (available on the download single and EP) Lately, I've been hard to reach
I've been too long on my own
Everybody has a private world
Where they can be alone
Are you calling me?
Are you trying to get through, wow
Are you reaching out for me
Like I'm reaching out for you?

Get your party gown
Get your pigtail down
Get your heart beating, baby
I got my timing right
Got my act all tight
It's gotta be tonight my little schoolbabe
Your mamma says you don't
And your daddy says you won't
And I'm boiling up inside
Ain't no way I'm gonna lose out this time
Ooooh
Tie your mother down
Tie your mother down
Lock your daddy out the door
I don't need him nosing around
Tie your mother down
Tie your mother down
Give me all your love tonight
Wow
You're such a dirty louse
Go get out of my house
That's all I ever get from your
Family ties, in fact I don't think I ever heard
A single little civil word from those guys
But I don't give a light
I'm gonna make out all right
I got a sweetheart hand
To put a stop to all that
Sniping and grousing
Going on
Tie your mother down
Tie your mother down
Take your little brother swimming
With a brick, that's all right
Tie your mother down
Tie your mother down
She ain't no friend of mine
Wow
Ain't no friend of mine
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Oooh, your mummy and your daddy gonna
Plague me till I die
They can't understand it
I'm just a peace loving guy
Tie your mother down
Tie your mother down
Get that big, big, big, big, big, big daddy out the door
Tie your mother down
Tie your mother down
Give me all your love tonight
All your love tonight
(All your love tonight)
All your love tonight
(All your love tonight)
(All your love tonight) yeah, yeah, yeah
(All your love tonight), wow, wow
Alright
Oh
Give it to me, give it to me, give it to me, give it to me, give it to me, give it to me, give it to me, give it to me
All your love tonight
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Hey
Give it to me baby

This time I know it's for real
I've fallen in love
God knows, God knows I've fallen in love

But I've got to be sure
When I walk out the door
Oh, how I want to be free Audience: Oh, how I want to break free Oh, how I want to break free
Life still goes on
I can't get used to living without
Living without, living without you by my side

So baby can't you see

Never knew no good from bad
But I knew life before I left my nursery
Left alone with big fat fanny
She was such a naughty nanny
Heap big woman, you made a bad boy out of me, wow
Yeah
I've been singing with my band
Across the water across the land
I've seen every blue eyed floozy on the way
But their beauty and their style
Wear kind of smooth after a while
Take me to them naughty ladies every time
Come on
Oh, won't you take me home tonight
Oh, down beside your red fire light
Oh, you gonna give it all you got
Fat bottomed girls
You make the rocking world go round
Fat bottomed girls
You make the rocking world go round
Ooh, wooh, oh
I got mortgages on homes
I got stiffness in my bones
Ain't no beauty queens in this locality
Oh, but I've still got my pleasure
I still got my greatest treasure
Heap big woman you better make a big man outta me
Now come on

I know you ain't going anywhere
Run round the town singing your blues
I know you ain't going anywhere
You've always been a good friend of mine
But you're always saying farewell
And the only time that you're satisfied
Is with your feet in the wishing well
Ooh
Wait
Throw down your gun, you might shoot yourself
Or is that what you're trying to do
Put up a fight you believe to be right
And someday the sun will shine through
You've always got you something to hide
Something you just can't tell
And the only time that you're satisfied
Is with your feet in the wishing well
Ooh
Oh, but I know what you're wishing for
Love in a peaceful world, I can't hear you now
Love in a peaceful world, tell me, tell me, tell me
Love in a peaceful world
Oh ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma
Wow, oh, yeah
Ooh, look out baby
You've always been a good friend of mine
But you're always saying farewell
And the only time that you're satisfied
Is with your feet at the wishing well, yeah
Oh but I know
Everybody has a dream

I wish you well
Dream on sweet dreamer
Way down deep in your wishing well
Oh

Machine guns ready to go
Are you ready, are you ready for this
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat, yeah
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust
Hey, I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust
Oh, oh
How do you think I'm gonna get along
Without you when you're gone
You took me for everything that I had
And kicked me out on my own
Are you happy, are you satisfied
How long can you stand the heat
Out of the door way the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat
Look out
Another one bites the dust, wow
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust

Another one bites the dust, hey, hey, hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
There are plenty of ways you can hurt a man
And bring him to the ground
You can beat him, you can cheat him
You can treat him bad and leave him when he's down
But I'm ready, yes I'm ready for you
I'm standing on my own two feet
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
Repeating to the sound of the beat
Hey, hey
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust
Yeah, gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust, ooh

Say It's Not True
Disc 1, Track 8. Track length 4:15, song length 2:40.
Lead vocals by Roger Taylor.
Details of the studio version can be found on the 'The Cosmos Rocks' album page. Roger: Hi everybody. Wow. I think we're gonna have a great night tonight, so, I, I've just come out here to bring you down. Um, this is, this is actually a song written for Nelson Mandela, ah, it's about, about something that does affect everybody, you, me, us, everybody, ah, that is the HIV/AIDS virus. This is called Say It's Not True. The harder we play
The faster we fall
When we think that we know it all
We know nothing at all
The letter arrives
Like a bolt from the blue
So what's left of your lives
All your dreams lost to you
Say it's not true
Say it today
When I open my eyes
Will it all go away
Say it's not true
Say it for real
Can't be happening to you
Can't be happening to me
It's hard not to cry
It's hard to believe
So much heartache and pain
So much reason to grieve
With the wonders of science
And all the knowledge we've stored
Magic cocktails for lives
People just can't afford
So say it's not true
You can say it's not right
It's hard to believe
The size of the crime
Say it's not true
You can say it's not real
Could be happening to you
Could be happening to me Roger: Thank you, thanks very much. Now you know that condoms are the fashion, anybody got any? Alright. OK, this is where I tell you that he is actually wearing, normally two, but actually three tonight, at the moment, at the moment this guy has just got the one on, this is from Brooklyn, USA, Danny Miranda. From Chicago, USA, Jamie Moses. Up here, we've got a man on the keyboards, the wizard, Spike Edney. And over here is my best friend Brian May.
'39
Disc 1, Track 9. Track length 4:38, song length 2:44.
Performed by Brian May.
Details of the original version can be found on the 'A Night At The Opera' album page. Brian: OK, you don't expect comedy from me, do you? You won't get it. OK, um, you know I have to say something, I get a very strange feeling about time, coming out here and sitting amongst all of you here, it's a priv-, a very privileged position to be sitting where I am, um, I can hardly believe it, it's, it's like you have to keep pinching yourself, it was almost nineteen years ago when Queen last trod the boards up here in Sheffield, and in some ways it seems like yesterday, some ways it's a very long time, and I look around and I see a lot of wonderful friendly faces, thank you all for being here. And the amazing thing is, the amazing thing is some of you I do know, and some of you guys, I look and, and you kind of look familiar, but actually you know you were probably not, or, or even just born when a, when this last happened, welcome to you all, we love you. Which brings me to the theme of this song which I'd like to sing for you, and I'd like you to sing with me if you're up for it, you wanna sing? OK, I'm just gonna tell you, this song is about time as well, it's about a, it's about a man who goes off in a silver spaceship to discover new lands, which he manages to do, but when he comes back, he a, he feels like he's only a year older, but to the people back on earth, his planet is a hundred years older. And a, you wanna sing? It goes like this. In the year of '39 assembled here the volunteers
In the days when lands were few
And the ship sailed out into the blue and sunny morn
The sweetest sight ever seen
And the night followed day
And the story tellers say
That the score brave souls inside
For many a lonely day sailed across the milky seas
Ne'er looked back, never feared, never cried
Don't you (Audience: hear my call though you're many years away) Don't you hear me calling you
Write your letters in the sand
For the day I take your hand
In the land that our grandchildren knew
In the year of '39 came a ship in from the blue
The volunteers came home that day
And they bring good news of a world so newly born
Though their hearts so heavily weigh
For the earth is old and grey, little darling we'll away
But my love this cannot be
For so many years have gone though I'm older but a year
Your mothers eyes from your eyes cry to me
Don't you hear my call
Though you're many years away Audience: Don't you hear me calling you Write your letters in the sand
For the day I take your hand
In the land that our grandchildren knew
Don't you hear my call
Though you're many years away
Don't you hear me calling you
All your letters in the sand
Cannot heal me like your hand
For my life still ahead - God bless all of you Brian: You had your way, you're best. Wow, thank you

I usually sing it for Freddie, tonight I'm happy to say we're very privileged to have Freddie's mum with us, so this is for her. It's for you. We sing it together, right. Love of my life - you've hurt me
You've broken my heart and now you leave me Audience: Love of my life, can't you see
Audience: Bring it back, bring it back
Audience: Don't take it away from me, because you don't know
Audience: What it means to me
Brian: Beautiful, beautiful Love of my life, don't leave me
You've stolen my heart you now desert me
Love of my (Audience: life, can't you see) Bring it back, bring it back Audience: Don't take it away from me, because you don't know

When I grow older
I will be there at your side to remind you

Comes to you as to us all
We're just waiting for the hammer to fall, yes
Hey, Paul
Hey, Brian, ha, ha
Every night, and every day
A little piece of you is falling away
But lift your face, the western way
Build your muscles as your body decays
Toe your line and play their game
Let the anaesthetic cover it all
Till one day they call your name
You know it's time for the hammer to fall
Oooh, oh yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Rich or poor or famous
Your truth is all the same (oh no, oh no)
Lock your door but rain is pouring
Through your window pane (oh no)
Baby now your struggle's all in vain
For we who grew up tall and proud
In the shadow of the mushroom cloud
Convinced our voices can't be heard, ha
We just want to scream it louder and louder and
What the hell we fighting for, yeah
Just surrender and it won't hurt at all
Just got time to say your prayers
While you're waiting for the hammer to, hammer to fall
Alright
Hey
Hey
The hammer to fall
Hey
Hey
While your're waiting for the hammer to, hammer to, hammer to fall
Hit me one time, yeah, yeah, yeah

Lead vocals by Roger Taylor.
Details of the original version can be found on the 'Innuendo' album page. Sometimes I get to thinking
I was back in the old days, long ago
When we were kids, when we were young
Things seemed so perfect then, you know
The days were endless, we were crazy, we were young
Sun was always shining, we just lived for fun
Sometimes it seems like lately, I don't know
Rest of my life's been just a show
'Cos those were the days of our lives
The bad things in life were so few
Those days are all gone now but one thing's still true
When I look, and I find, I still love you
Can't turn back the clock, you can't turn back the time
Ain't that a shame?
I'd like to go back one time on a rollercoaster ride
When life was just a game
No use in sitting and a thinking on what you did
When you can lay back enjoy it through the kids
Sometimes it seems like lately I don't know
Better sit back and go with the flow
'Cos these are the days of our lives
They've flown in the swiftness of time
These days are all gone now but some things remain
When I look and I find Brian May
'Cos those were the days of our lives
The bad things in life were so few
Those days are all gone now but
One thing's still true
When I look and I find
I still love you
Wow

My only friend through teenage nights
And everything I had to know

You gave them all those old time stars
Through wars of worlds invaded by Mars
You made 'em laugh, you made us cry
You made us feel like we could fly
So don't become some background noise
A backdrop for the girls and boys
Who just don't know, and just don't care
And just complain when you're not there
You had your time, you had the power
You've yet to have your finest hour

The bell that rings inside your mind
Is challenging the doors of time
The waiting seems eternity, yeah
The day will dawn of sanity (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooooh)
Is this a kind of magic
It's a kind of magic
There can be only one
It's a kind of magic
This rage that lasts a thousand years
Will soon be done
This flame that burns inside of me
I'm hearing secret harmonies
It's a kind of magic
The bell that rings inside your mind
Is challenging the doors of time
Oh, it's magic, yeah (it's a kind of magic)

Lead vocals by Paul Rodgers and Brian May.
Details of the original version can be found on the 'The Miracle' album page. Roger: One, two, three I want it all, I want it all
I want it all and I want it now
Adventure seeker, on an empty street
Just an alley creeper, light on his feet
A young fighter screaming, no time for doubt
And the pain and the anger, can't see a way out
It ain't much I'm asking, I heard him say
I gotta find me a future, move out of my way
I want it all, I want it all
I want it all and I want it now
I want it all, I want it all
I want it all and I want it now
Listen all you people, come gather round
I gotta get me a game plan, that's gonna shake you to the ground
Oh just give me, ha, what I know is mine, ha
People do you hear me, just give me little sign
It ain't much I'm asking, if you want the truth
Here's to the future, hear the cry of youth
I want it all, I want it all
I want it all, and I want it now
(I want it all, I want it all) give it to me, I want it all, yes I want it all
I want it all, and I want it now
I'm a man with a one track mind
So much to do in one life time (people do you hear me) Not a man for compromise and where's and why's and living lies
So I'm living it all (yes I'm living it all) And I'm giving it all (and I'm giving it all now), ooooh It ain't much I'm asking, if you want the truth
Here's to the future, hear the call of youth
(I want it all, I want it all) give it to me now, oh yeah
(I want it all and I want it now) oooh, oh yes I want it all
I want it all (yes) I want it all
I want it all and I want it now
(I want it all, I want it all) oh yeah, ohh, ooh
(I want it all and I want it now)
I want it
I want it
I want it now

If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters
Too late, my time has come
Sends shivers down my spine
Body's aching all the time
Goodbye everybody, I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth

Bismillah! We will not let you go, let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go, let me go

Never, never, never, never, never (never let you go)

Oh, mama mia, mama mia
Mama mia let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye?
So you think you can love me and leave me to die?
Oooh, baby, can't do this to me baby

Lead vocals by Paul Rodgers.
Details of the original version can be found on the 'Innuendo' album page. Mmmmmm
Empty spaces, what are we living for
Abandoned places, I guess we know the score
On and on, does anybody know what we are looking for
Another hero, another mindless crime
Behind the curtain, in the pantomime
Hold the line, does anybody want to take it anymore
(The show must go on) the show must go on
(The show must go on) the show must go on
Inside my heart is breaking
My make up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on
Whatever happens, I'll leave it all to chance
Another heartache, yeah, another failed romance
On and on, does anybody know what we are living for
I guess I'm learning (I'm learning , I'm learning, I'm learning), I must be warmer now
I'll soon be turning (turning, turning, turning) round the corner now
Outside the dawn is breaking
But inside in the dark I'm aching to be free
(The show must go on) the show must go on
(The show must go on) the show must go on
Inside my heart is breaking
My make up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on
My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies
Fairytales of yesterday will grow but never die
We can fly my friends
(The show must go on) the show must go on
(The show must go on) the show must go on
I'll face it with a grin
I'm never giving in
On with the show
I'll top the bill
I'll overkill
I have to find the will to carry on
On with the
On with the show
(The show must go on) the show must go on Paul: Ahh, thank you, what a thrill. Great.

I've paid my dues
Time after time
I've done my sentence
Committed no crime
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of sand
Kicked in my face
But I've come through
We are the champions, my friends
(We'll keep on fighting till the end) oh, oh yeah
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cos we are the champions
Of the world
I've taken my bows
And my curtain calls
You've brought me fame and fortune
And everything that goes with it, I thank you all
But it's been no bed of roses
No pleasure cruise
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race
And I ain't gonna lose
(We are the champions, my friends) oh, the people are the champions, now yeah
(We'll keep on fighting till the end) yeah, we're never gonna stop
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cos we are the champions
Of the world
(We are the champions, my friends) we're gonna keep on, keeping on yeah
(We'll keep on fighting till the end) yeah, yeah, yeah, we're never gonna give up yeah
We are the champions
